Ghana Black Stars beat South Africa 1-0 to advance to the third round of the African Qualifiers for Qatar 2022
Andre Ayew, Ghana’s captain, scored his 100th cap for Ghana Black Stars to send Ghana through the final phase in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
The South Africans arrived in Cape Coast with three points against the Ghana Black Stars. They needed a draw to secure their progress but a determined performance by the Stars saw them win 1-0 to take the only available slot in group G.

Today, the Swindon keeper was composed in post. He was a good defender and handled a few aerial balls well.
Mubarak Wakaso 7
Wakaso Mubarak was made for this type of game, and he did as expected. He gave his all in all to help the Ghana Black Stars secure the 3 points.
He got injured after 12 minutes.
Baba Rahman – 7
As also performed, the experienced left-back did put in a solid effort at the back. He played well, even though he appeared exhausted, to win important tackles.
Alexander Djiku – 7
He answered every question that was directed at him. He was courageous, efficient, and on time.

Although he was the quietest of both the defensive midfielders, he did a good job on the night.
Kofi Kyereh 6
The penalty was awarded to the Blackstars for his well-taken corner kick. When the game was tied 0-0, he missed a sitter.
Andre Ayew – 7
In a game filled with tension, the Captain showed leadership and earned the crucial penalty which led Ghana Black Stars to win the match of the day.
Jordan Ayew 7
Jordan was excellent, except for scoring. When the South Africans put more men forward, Jordan’s runs and hold-on played a major role in helping the Ghana Black Stars.
Kamaldeen Sulemana – 7
Although he was quiet in the first half, he was full of energy in the second half and took on opposing players for good measure. He should be more efficient as far as Ghana Black Stars is concerned.
