At 10 a.m. ET, Donald Trump, a former president of the United States, will tee it up alongside Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau in the opening group. Caitlyn Jenner, a media celebrity and former Olympic decathlete, football Hall of Famers Lawrence Taylor and Brian Urlacher, and basketball star Charles Barkley will all be participating as celebrities. The names of the remaining pro-am competitors are pending announcement.

Over the past two weeks, Barkley, an 11-time NBA All-Star and current TNT pundit, has toyed with the idea of becoming a broadcaster for the Greg Norman-directed and Saudi Arabia-backed series. Even giving the series an ultimatum for an offer, the fan favorite with the crooked swing said, “When I leave New Jersey Thursday night, when I leave the golf course, if I don’t have an offer in hand, it’s over.”

Barkley and Norman had dinner together last week in Atlanta to talk about Barkley’s potential position with LIV.

The series, which is supported by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, has long been condemned as a tool for the Kingdom to whitewash its record on human rights. Saudi Arabia has been charged of a variety of human rights violations, including killings committed for political reasons, torture, forced disappearances, and cruel treatment of detainees. And Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi writer and Washington Post columnist, was killed, with members of the royal family and the Saudi government being implicated.
